If you can choose among these two:
A quality sleep for 3 hours.
A long sleeping time for 9 hours but couldn't guarantee you to have a quality sleep.
What will you choose?
Some might think that, a guaranteed quality sleep for 3 hours is great. Others might think that, in the long 9 hours of sleeping time, surely they'll get at least 3 hours of good sleep. In other words, they are willing to take the risk, in exchange for more sleeping time.
Quality
Quality is definitely what everyone wants to see. A quality work will ensure that no redundancy will occurs during the process. It increases the efficiency of the process, and it leaves good reputations to anyone for producing a quality work.
Examples
A quality sleep rather than a lengthy night filled with nightmares or dreams.
A clear and clean project report(with the aid of tables, diagrams and graphs) rather than filling up the reports just to increase the word count.
A short chat for just 15 minutes with interesting topics creating climax and suspend to both the chatter rather than a whole day of boring conversation without a topic to talk to.
Quantity
Quantity is not something bad. Some would think that, having a large quantity would ensure the quality. It is true sometimes.
Examples:
United States and China are always brilliant in most of the field, due to their large population. Because of the high number of residents, statistically speaking, more talents are within them.
However, in this materialistic world, people are often blinded by the quantity and hence neglected the quality of it.
Examples:
Megasales. The clothes are cheap and hence most of the people will 'race' to see who buy the most, whether they will eventually wear everything they bought or not. Nothing is free, and so the lower the price is, highly likely the lower quality it is. So quality or quantity?
Food. Many people enjoy eating. They are always proud of themselves that they can eat a lot. Eating a lot can easily make you fat, eating little but quality food can make you healthier(I never say it wouldn't make you fat too okay!), but you might not be full.
In all, in my personal opinion, quality is superior than quantity. Let's have some quality chat, quality sleep, and quality work.
Opinions and comments are welcome.
