How a good student handle stress in their studies?
I believe most of the people already heard of the news, an NTU student stabbed his professor and committed suicide later.
What a shocking news, what a sad moment for all the students and teachers.
From what I know, he was studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering in NTU, the same course as me. Was currently year 4 and doing his Final Year Project (FYP). Due to unknown reason (most probably stress), he brought a knife with him while meeting his supervisor to discuss about this FYP. When his supervisor were using the computer, he took out the knife and stabbed him from the back. He then tried to cut his own wrist however the injured professor grabbed the knife off him. Well, not giving up finding death, he run off and jump down from a 5 storey's high bridge.
So here comes the questions:
What makes him carry the knife with him?
What makes him has the urge to kill his supervisor and commit suicide?
The most important question, what side effect will this incident have to the current students and teachers in Singapore? Is studying in Singapore really that stressful? Do you feel like you are having war everyday? Do you need the 25th hour of the day?
While finding the news of this incident, I found another issue that concerned me.
Perak oh Perak, when will you back to the peaceful you again?
A lot of record breaking 'events' happened in Perak these few weeks, certainly no Malaysian will be proud of it: The first ever emergency sitting on the street. Two 'Menteri Besar' claim that themselves is the real Minister of the State. BN don't even have the guts to have re-election in Perak. Cant they hear us? cant they hear the voice of the people? Cant they bring real democracy to this democratic country? I wonder.
